Black Belt Requirements.

developed by professor Mario Rodríguez.
For getting awarded the black belt, the brown belt should achieve important skills in two main areas: the technical area and the methodological area.
Technical Area
Here the brown belt should be able to execute correctly basic techniques that are not part of his usual "Game"
Secondly there will be revisited the main positional and submission escapes.
Methodological Area
In this area there will be evaluated the skills of the student to teach, even if he or she is not considering to teach.
Being able to explain the techniques to other persons is considered for lots of studies and research as a the last stage in the learning process and the most effective indicator of a solid knowledge acquisition.
In this area there will be important.
The ability of the student to teach techniques starting from the principles and mechanical elements. That means being able to discern the principles and mechanics that are common to variations of the same technique or the principles involved in groups of techniques like joint locks or estrangles.
The ability to teach new techniques starting from his previous knowledge. That means being able to disect new positions and teach them starting fromhis knowledge of related techniques
The ability of the student to teach to different persons (biotypes and learning styles)
That means being able to adjust the technique to different types of learning styles (conceptual step by step, visual, through practice with adjustments, etc)
The ability to find different tools and methodologies for helping students with difficulties. That means being able to find the aspects that are making difficult to some student an specific technique and then finding solutions that help him to work on the problem.
The test for the black belt will include positional rolls and teaching scenarios reviewing the previous situations and aspects.
